At 21,000 square feet, this will be the largest branch in the Oakland Public Library system and also act as the library for EnCompass Academy and our sister school, ACORN Woodland Elementary. Not only is it certified as a "Green" building, it will be the first joint public library-school facility in Oakland! The $14.3 million project is funded by a $6.5 million grant from the State of California’s Proposition 14 and $4 million from the Oakland Redevelopment Agency. The rest of the funding will come from private and community fundraising.
